THE European Union has decided to recall its ambassadors to Belarus for consultations after Minsk expelled the bloc's representative and the Polish envoy in protest over new sanctions, EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said.
"In a sign of solidarity and unity it was decided to recall for consultations all the ambassadors of EU states in Minsk," Ashton said in a statement.
"A meeting of the EU representatives in Brussels has been called for Wednesday to coordinate our response," she added.
